Fibre King Australia Pty Ltd has expanded into Asia under the name of its export brand, Oryx Automation, with the recent opening of its new factory in Thailand. Fibre King Australia's head office and factory facility in Brisbane will maintain its status as the research and development centre for the company, as well as its focus on innovation through partnership with clients.
Specialising in the design and manufacture of end of line packaging machinery, Oryx Automation and its parent company Fibre King produce case packers, palletisers, meat equipment and crate automation equipment for the food and beverage, pharmaceutical, meat, fresh produce and household and personal goods industries. Both Fibre King and Oryx Automation are part of the R.L.Windsor Group, an 87 year old Australian engineering company with a 50+ pedigree in the packaging machinery industry.
Although the Group has long held offices and representatives around the world, the new 3000m2 Rayong Province factory, in combination with the existing 2000m2 Brisbane facility and doubling of staff numbers will significantly increase the Group's production capacity for its growing export market.
General Manager of Fibre King & Oryx Automation, Suren Moodley has overseen the company's transition to an international manufacturer and says the changes have been challenging but extremely rewarding. "We've spent over 18 months establishing our operations and most importantly, finding the right people for Oryx Automation. I continue to be impressed with the level of skill, devotion and industry shown by all our people, both in Asia and Australia."
Group CEO, Earle Roberts commented: "The level of interest coming out of Asia and the Middle East, as well as the USA and Canada, has been overwhelming. Our manufacturing capability in Asia is now tested and proven, with recent successful installations at several Asian nutritional operations, so we're well placed to meet our global client's needs. Our home-based market continues to be strong and remains under the care of the existing Fibre King team, as devoted as ever to their 'No Excuses Service' mandate."
