PROPAK’s PROCESSING & PACKAGING EVENT CONTINUES TO DELIVER VALUE

See Fibre King’s Highlights and Contribution to Asia’s No. 1 Processing & Packaging Event for the region’s rapidly expanding Food, Drink & Pharmaceutical Industries.

Propak Asia celebrated 25 years this year and Fibre King were once again proud to be a part of this rapidly growing event. With a new layout and a 25% increase in exhibitors, Propak did not disappoint when it came to delivering quality enquiries and showcasing innovations in packaging.

Propak Asia is a particularly important for Fibre King with their local manufacturing facility in Thailand and a focus on South East Asia as a growth region for sales.

“This event is a fantastic opportunity for Fibre King to showcase our recent innovations and catch up with new and existing customers. ” Said James Windsor, CEO of Fibre King Australia. “It also provides a great platform for us to remind our customers that we are local to Thailand – it reminds them that they can take advantage of our manufacturing facility, support and local knowledge,” he said.

Fibre King’s stand for Propak Asia 2017 focussed on robotic integration and smart collaboration. “This year we wanted to promote our expertise in Robot Integration and total Robotic Systems – historically Fibre King have been known for our mechanical palletising solutions, but in recent years we have seen the demand for our robotic palletisers increase dramatically. Our stand this year was all about demonstrating this in house ability to program robot solutions and include smarts like an integrated vision system that enables accurate and flexible palletising and de palletising,” says Emma Townsend, General Manager. “The demonstration on the stand was well received with many attendees stopping to watch the robot in action. Feedback was that the quality and finish of the display were excellent, resulting in many new enquires for similar systems” commented James.

“We also wanted to showcase the benefits of Smart Collaboration,” says Emma. “Fibre King have exceptional supplier relationships with many of the major proprietary suppliers, and it is their knowledge, expertise and new product developments that help us develop smarter machines. But Smart Collaboration extends beyond the supplier, and guides how we interact and develop solutions for our customers – our engineering knowledge coupled with our customer’s operational expertise is the key to a great solution,” she said.

The highlights of the show for James included reviewing automation requirements with potential customers, often for machines that have not yet been developed; “Working with a customer to develop new machines from nothing but an idea is one of the most exciting challenges for any engineering company. Our 90 years in business proves that we excel in delivering these first to market projects and I believe the market has identified Fibre King as an innovative company that can deliver on complex automation solutions no matter the industry they may need to operate in”.”

Highlights for Emma included catching up with suppliers and looking at new ways Fibre King can enhance current equipment with new products and innovations; “We are currently developing our Future Forward 4.0 strategy and these discussions will continue to focus our thinking around developing machines that are more connected and intuitive for our customers.”

James and Emma would like to thank Fibre King’s partners for their ongoing support and look forward to future developments together – these key partners include ABB, Cognex Vision, Intralox, Rockwell Automation and SMC.
