Empowering women in the Australian and New Zealand fresh produce and floral community is about creating opportunities and strengthening connections. Now in its third year running, the Women's Fresh Perspectives event is a supportive platform built to connect, inform and cultivate women's potential within our industry.

This year, the acclaimed and celebrated Women's Fresh Perspectives event will be held in Adelaide as part of the Hort Connections, bringing together the largest number of growers, supply chain businesses, government stakeholders and service providers in the Australian and New Zealand horticultural industry. Held on Wednesday 17 May, the event will be a nourishing, fulfilling and immersive experience with a delicious 'roaming breakfast', special guest speakers and a whole lot of female power!

Emma Townsend, the Chair of the Women's Fresh Perspective Taskforce, talks about the benefits to businesses who encourage women in leadership positions. "It's no secret that diversity in any team is the key to success. In fact, recent studies show that companies with higher levels of diversity in leadership positions perform better financially" she said.

"The theme, 'Creating a Path to Diversity' has been chosen so we can reflect on how we improve our entire industry by supporting and encouraging women and creating a more inclusive environment" said Emma.
