FIBRE KING'S TOP FINDS AND WRAP UP FOR AUSPACK 2017

See what Fibre King's CEO and General Manager have to say about Australia's largest packaging and processing exhibition for 2017.

The organisers of this exhibition, APPMA reported a record breaking event for AUSPACK 2017 with the largest space occupied, the biggest display of exhibitors and brands on offer and the largest contingent of international exhibitors.

This year's event was held in Sydney and is the largest biennial exhibition for food, beverage and pharmaceutical processing and packaging in Australasia. Bringing together the key players in the global processing and packaging arena. As Australia's leading packaging equipment supplier, Fibre King is a consistent exhibitor at this prestigious event and has been for over twenty years.

Featured on their stand this year was a Virtual Reality experience which allowed you to walk through a simulation of one of their largest installations – this was undertaken in partnership with Glenvern Associates using Emulate 3D software. Fibre King was also proud to showcase their heritage as they are celebrating 90 years of designing and manufacturing in Australia.

Emma Townsend, General Manager for Fibre King, gives us a wrap up of the event.

"Here we are nearly two weeks after Auspack 2017 and this is the time that all of the hard work and effort that goes in to preparing and delivering a tradeshow starts to pay off. Following up leads, contacting potential customers and catching up with our important integration partners. So beyond the obvious lead generation and direct sales opportunities – why do we exhibit at tradeshows like Auspack? For us, the ability to interact personally with current and existing partners like Matthews and Ambaflex is our primary focus. So much of what we do relies on developing a trusting and open relationship with both suppliers and customers and coming together for a Tradeshow makes this a lot easier. It also gives us the opportunity to observe where the industry is going as a whole, and evaluate how we, Fibre King, fit into that space and how we can carve out a niche for ourselves. Coming together for a tradeshow like Auspack is also another way to show support for the industry, it enables us to educate potential buyers and develop alliances and integrated solutions that will shape the future of packaging."

James Windsor, CEO of Fibre King gives us his top finds at the exhibition.

"Robotic automation is always popular and visiting the Kuka, ABB and Fanuc stands were definitely at the top of my list. We are an integrator of robotic solutions in both Case Packing and Palletising and it is always exciting to see the innovations in robotic technology that we can incorporate into our machines to provide better solutions for our clients. Collaborative Robots are of particular interest to many of our clients at the moment.

We also saw plenty of opportunity in improving on new and existing equipment from our suppliers including SMC in areas such as improvements in energy consumption as well as smart connected control systems by Rockwell Automation for real time data feedback of machine performance. We look forward to discussing these options with our new and existing customers and ultimately improving on efficiencies.

We are always looking at ways to improve our equipment and look forward to these exhibitions where we can take the opportunity to see the new innovations in the industry as well as showcasing our own. We had excellent feedback at this year's AUSPACK and will be attending the next exhibition in 2019".
